The NHS needs us all to maintain social distancing for now.
NHS clinical & support staff need a lot of Government directed help.
They need timely testing (both antigen and antibody tests as per an accepted protocol, which could include weekly antibody tests plus daily temperature checks).
They need more help with childcare (often both parents are NHS staff).
They need plentiful supplies of optimal PPE.
They should be offered medical countermeasures (chloroquine).
In early 2020 we campaigned for NHS/PHE to offer chloroquine to ALL front-line clinical/support NHS staff within a properly conduted RCT (trial). With arrival of effective vaccines in 2021 the need for such a trial receeded. But Omicron may yet change that ...
